About this organisation

At Frasers Property Australia, sustainability and environmental stewardship are fundamental principles of our planning. At Central Park in Sydney’s Chippendale we have made major investments in sustainability initiatives and green technologies including the establishment of a central thermal tri-generation power plant – the first of its kind in Australia in a private residential environment. We have built the world’s largest water recycling plant in a residential basement context and have made a serious commitment to reducing private vehicle usage by integrating Australia’s largest car share scheme, delivered by GoGet.

We have created thousands of square metres of green spaces including Lardelli Park, the 2.4 hectare park at Putney Hill in Ryde and Chippendale Green, the 6,400sqm public park at the heart of Central Park – both which are listed on the 202020 Vision map of Australia’s finest green space projects.

We commissioned renowned French botanist and artist, Patrick Blanc, to produce a series of beautiful vertical gardens at both the Central Park and Trio developments. The vertical gardens at One Central Park have the largest green façade ever undertaken on a residential tower in Australia with over 1000sqm of living walls.

Our national sustainability strategy – A Different Way – commits our business to achieving Green Star ratings for all new developments and properties owned and/or managed by our business, by 2018. In the meantime, we have achieved 6 star Green Star Communities ratings for Fairwater in NSW and Burwood Brickworks in Victoria – the first projects to do so in these states – and we’re delivering Australia’s first 6 star Green Star industrial precinct, at Horsley Drive Business Park.

Why we support the vision

Frasers Property believes that urban green space is key to creating greener, more environmentally sensitive cities and urban spaces. We are delighted to have three of our landscape projects listed as some of the Australia’s finest green space projects and look forward to contributing more in the future.
