Kylie Legge

Kylie Legge is a founding Director of Place Partners, a multidisciplinary place making consultancy based in Sydney Australia. The company’s focus is planning for new communities and public spaces that create meaningful relationships with the people who use them, and that are socially, economically, environmentally and culturally rich and sustainable. Kylie brings a wealth of education and experience to the complex task of place making. She is a graduate of Architecture and holds a Masters in Social Science (Env&Plan) from RMIT.  In 2012 she was a guest panelist at the US Pavilion, Venice Architecture Biennale and published her first book on Urban Trends "Doing it Differently". In 2013 she completed her second book "Future City Solutions" as well as being a speaker at the UN Habitat sponsored ‘Future of Places’ conference in Stockholm.

Kylie has been a dedicated place maker for over 8 years, working on projects across Australia, in Asia and the Middle East; and at range of scales –from main street to mall, to mixed used developments and whole of city projects.  Kylie is passionate about the public realm and its contribution to healthy urban environments. Green space, vegetation and street trees provide an essential balance to the hard infrastructure of the city.
