NATIONAL PRESS OFFICE UPDATES FOR MONTH OF APRIL

3 May 2019

April was another great month for the 202020 Vision press office. Following the Fairfax story the team secured in March with 202020 Vision advocate Tony Matthews, we saw even more great coverage on the benefits of urban greening for an ageing population, including in Brisbane Seniors, the Townsville Bulletin, the Daily Examiner, News Mail and the Northern Star.
The team also organised a story with WA Today featuring the Where Should All the Trees Go report and commentary from 202020 Vision advocate Marco Amati. The article was syndicated nationally, also appearing in The Sydney Morning Herald, The Brisbane Times, and The Age. After putting this topic on the news agenda, ABC Radio Perth was in touch with the team to interview Marco about the report and the state of green cover in Western Australia.
Lastly, the team secured a story with Domain following new research showing green roofs can improve indoor air quality, with commentary from 202020 Vision Jock Gammon of Junglefy and Associate Professor Sara Wilkinson, of the University of Technology Sydney.
