One of the 5 sections in the Strategy is "The Ballarat Landscape" and the first 3 key policy directions are (i) Historic Urban Landscape - manage Ballarat's unique heritage, landscape and character as an intergrated historic urban landscape, (ii) Biodioversity - pursue regional solutions to the management of landscape values and biodoversity; protect and enhance the natural world in urban areas, and (iii) Open Space - improve the provision of quality open space to achieve environmental, social, cultural and economic benefits.
