National Trust of Australia (Victoria)

m2 To the vision

About this organisation

The National Trust of Australia (Victoria) is a non-profit community organisation that has been actively working since 1956 towards conserving and protecting our heritage for future generations to enjoy. The National Trusts' of Australia Register of Significant Trees has been recording trees for over 30 years, and we are active advocates for environmental heritage.

Why we support the vision

As advocates for conservation of environmental heritage across Australia, the target of 20% more green space in our urban areas by 2020 aligns closely with the National Trust's work. Protection and maintenance of our existing heritage trees, parks and gardens underpins the baseline for achieving the 202020 Vision. We will not reach the target of a 20% increase in green space by 2020 without valuing and sustaining the environmental heritage we already have.
