About the project

The 107 Rooftop Garden is a learning garden designed as a best-practice example of urban permaculture. The garden features intensive organic vegetable production alongside beehives, aquaponics systems, vertical gardens, water recycling, nutrient recycling and micro forest gardens.
The 107 Rooftop Garden is a greenspace dedicated to learning + urban food production.

A shady space of inspiration and good organic food, the 107 Rooftop Garden is designed to be a best-practice example of urban permaculture in action.

The garden (currently in process) incorporates intensive organic vegetable beds, beehives, aquaponics systems, micro forest gardens, vertical gardens and space to learn and grow.

Designed with multi-use and sustainable materials in mind, recycled timbers, bricks and other materials have been used in the garden wherever possible.

The 107 Rooftop Garden is a setting for regular free and intensive workshops in food production and ecological design, as well as growing free food for the Redfern community, and providing free seedlings for the community's home gardens on a seasonal basis.
