About the project

Sprout with Northrop and Hornsby Shire Council adopted a green and blue infrastructure approach to manage stormwater levels increased as a result of residential densification in the local area of Waitara. Council's brief was to revitalise the community park and replace a bowling green with a high quality tennis facility. The desired program of active and passive recreation has been accomadated within a traditional parkland with a stormwater management overlay. A series of soft and hard spaces, designed to adapt to various levels of stormwater inundation provide a resilient public open space amenity.
